Established in early 2025, Umikai began as a traveling pop-culture thrift store, popping up across the Pacific Northwest with a simple mission: to help the community “make cuter choices.” What started as a curated collection of elation for all ages in Portland, Oregon, Umikai has evolved into something much larger.

Co-founders Kamon Tari and Robert O’Neill saw a need for more than just great merchandise - We saw a need for great experiences. Today, Umikai.gg is dedicated to fostering the nerdy scene by hosting premier events where fans can express their passions, connect with like-minded creators, and celebrate the subcultures they love. We don’t just plan events, we level up the experience where your favorite fandoms come to life.
